Getting Started

Hi Ladies,

Here is the first blog post. This is going to be super easy for everyone to participate so give it a try. Once you accept your invitation to join I will change you to "administrators" so that you can add anything you want to the blog. I'll be sending an email tomorrow with instructions on how to get started. If you read this before then, leave a comment and I'll know who can help me train the others.

  7. Hi Everyone! Thanks, Molly for doing the blog-thing for us. :) I actually got kinda confused getting here, but I made it! I had to use a gmail email account which I never check. Any suggestions? Will we be using an email feature with the blog? If so, I'll need to figure out how to set it to email my sbcglobal email. ???
Molly--where are you in Alas, Babylon. I'm in chapter 8. I really like it, though it's giving me a kick to get my garden, food storage, water storage ETC ETC going!!!

  8. Has any of you read or heard anything about "People of the book" by Geraldine Brooks. I have seen the book for several weeks at Costco and it just has peeked my interest so much I bought it. But on closer examination I saw the Geraldine Brooks also wrote "March" the sequel to "Little Women", while I did not read that book I did not hear anuthing good about it either.

  11. I decided to read "Across 5 Aprils" and "Gone with the Wind" in tandem, figuring they were both civil war stories and it was interesting to read about the thoughts and feeling from both sides of the conflict. I really enjoyed "Across 5 Aprils"; thank you for suggesting it. It was heart warming and uplifting. How is it that a country boy between the age of 9 and 13 is so much more mature than a 15/19 year Southern Belle? The contrast is striking.
